Private tutor in Londonderry, NH
Education
I entered Plymouth State University in the fall of 2011, and left the university with a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology in 2015. In earning this degree, I took courses covering a wide range of topics: Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Physics, Genetics and others. Taking such a wide range of courses has allowed me to see the deep connections between these fields. For example, having a high level of understanding of physics allows one to better understand the underlying physical mechanisms of other fields such as biochemistry and chemistry. I had a somewhat rough start to my undergraduate education, but really turned things around right around the middle of my time at university by bettering my study habits; techniques I'd be happy to share with you or your child.
Experience
I'm very passionate about physics and biotechnology. During my undergraduate career, I took Physics I, II, III(independent study), modern physics(with two other students), and quantum physics(another independent study), the latter three being elective courses. I tutored physics I+II for two years in my university's tutoring office, and immensely enjoyed the feeling of helping others to succeed in their coursework, as well as the increased familiarity with the material that I achieved via the act of teaching. My major coursework included: Bio. Science 1+2, Gen chem 1+2, Microbiology, Organic Chemistry 1+2, Physics 1,2,3, Modern Physics and Quantum Physics, Biotechnology, Statistics 1, Biochemistry 1+2, Cell Structure and function, Lab Safety, Genetics, Intro to research, Conservation, Molecular Biology, and Calculus 1. I am continuing with self-study at the moment. Currently, I am working through a Calculus and Immunology textbook, and would like to read others on Inorganic chemistry, computational modeling (applied to physics, chemistry, etc..) and other topics.

Hobbies
I am an avid tinkerer. I've always enjoyed taking things apart and putting them back together (most of the time successfully) for the fun and mystery of it, and also immensely enjoy doing DIY projects whenever I can. I was a member of a FIRST robotics team in high school for several years, on which I spent most of the time machining and creating things. I also enjoy spending a lot of time on computers, whether it be learning new things or video gaming. I enjoy hiking in the north of NH(mostly with my girlfriend), bicycling whenever i get the urge, and enjoy kayaking and swimming.
